FHWA Fireside Chat on women in construction now streaming

The Federal Highway Administration’s EDC-7 Strategic Workforce Development (SWD) team held a virtual fireside chat on April 9, “Women Powering the Construction Workforce,” and a recorded version of that session is now available via the FHWA website.

Panelists from the Heartland Women in Trades, Institute for Women’s Policy Research, and Chicago Women in Trades discuss their work and answer submitted questions from the audience.

Speakers included:

The presentation focused on leveraging partnerships to open construction career paths for women and advocating for equal representation and pay.
