TRIP shares transportation insights on New York, New Mexico

The private nonprofit organization TRIP released two reports in January exploring the state of surface transportation in the states and metros of New York and New Mexico.

TRIP regularly that researches, evaluates and distributes economic and technical data on surface transportation issues.

The New York report published on Jan. 15, while the data on New Mexico was released Jan. 17.

The reports examine the condition, use, safety and funding of roads, highways and bridges, and each state’s future mobility needs. In addition to statewide data, the two TRIP reports include regional data for urban areas like Albuquerque, Buffalo-Niagara Falls, New York-Newark-Jersey City, and Santa Fe. An urban area is defined as a region’s municipalities and surrounding suburbs for pavement condition and congestion data; bridge and traffic fatality data include a region’s major counties.
