Drive in the desert, add a dessert

With the NAPA Annual Meeting returning to Scottsdale, Arizona this January, there will be lots of opportunities to experience what the Greater Phoenix area has to offer outside of the programming experience at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess host hotel.

Register by Dec. 2 to maximize savings and secure accommodations.

Add-on any of these exclusive experiences to your NAPA Annual registration and your Arizona adventure will be set!

Take on the Stadium

The experience tees off on Sunday morning with the annual golf tournament, which will be held at the PGA WEST Stadium Course.

From the PGA WEST website: Rated one of the “Top 100 Courses to play” by GOLF Magazine and 4th toughest course in America in Golf Digest’s “Top 50 Toughest Courses in America,” there may be no greater challenge or excitement in the game of golf. At 7,300 yards, the Stadium Course has the highest stroke and slope ratings of all the courses at PGA WEST®.
A Pete Dye golf course, Stadium delivers multiple adrenaline rushes throughout the round. Golfers must navigate the island green of hole #17, known as Alcatraz, as well as the menacing water-lined 18th as they end their golfing journey. Named “Stadium” thanks to Dye’s ingenious plan to sculpt spectator seating into the natural terrain, many historic moments in golf have occurred here.

The course, which was renovated in 2014, is most famous for its par-3, 16th hole that transforms into “The Coliseum” during the tournaments and provides fans with one of the most exciting settings in professional sports. With this year’s tournament the week before “The Greatest Show on Grass,” golfers can test their own skills on the same pristine fairways and experience the coliseum setting.

For this year’s unforgettable experience, the individual player fee is $875, or create your own foursome for $3500! Purchase a foursome and gather your friends and colleagues to compete in our infamous competition. Build your best team for a chance to win prizes and be recognized at Wednesday night’s dinner. Fees include breakfast, on-course refreshments, post-play lunch, 18 holes of golf, and contests/activities.

Taste Arizona’s tacos & wines

Two culinary tours for NAPA Annual Meeting attendees and guests offer a taste of the region.

During Tuesday’s Cheese/Chocolate/Macaron and Wine Pairing Workshop Tour, guests will enjoy four Arizona produced wines paired with four different artisan cheeses, dried fruits, nuts, and accoutrements, and choice of locally sourced chocolates or double layered hand painted macarons.

On Wednesday, the Scottsdale Taco Food Tour will showcase tasty tacos and mouth-watering margaritas while strolling through Scottsdale’s Old Town, a Western town filled with art galleries, shops, and a saloon. Sample a selection of delicious treats from characteristic Scottsdale establishments, and discover a mix of Arizona’s authentic Mexican flavors and American classics.
