Join NAPA in supporting future asphalt paving technologists

Members of the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT) are in Boston this week for the organization’s annual meeting.
Support the AAPT Student Chapter Program with a suggested $2,500 contribution.
AAPT programming during the event includes technical sessions dedicated to balanced mix design, emulsions, field performance, and preservation techniques. NAPA is a Global Sponsor of the AAPT Annual Meeting.
The event also includes a student poster session, which explored cracking resistance predictability, aging-related parameters in reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) mixtures, and warm-mix asphalt.
AAPT is taking its efforts to support the next generation of asphalt paving technologists to new heights now that the Newer Members Committee announced it has secured its first sponsor for the organization’s student chapters. NAPA also announced a contribution to the cause.
The AAPT Student Chapter Program is designed to promote hands-on learning, research engagement, professional development, and collaboration among students who will soon become the engineers, researchers, and industry partners shaping our field. Through activities such as mix design demonstrations, asphalt competitions, technical presentations, laboratory tours, and community outreach, students gain early exposure to real-world pavement engineering challenges and industry best practices — developing practical skills, building professional connections, and fostering a deeper understanding of the tools and technologies essential to delivering durable and sustainable infrastructure.
NMC Chair Noor Saleh said there are active chapters at Auburn University, the University of Nevada, Reno, Louisiana State University, the University of New Hampshire, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Texas A&M.
