Nelson takes gavel as NAPA Chairman

Outgoing NAPA Board of Directors Chairman Brady Meldrem handed over the gavel to Pat Nelson of Lehman-Roberts, A Granite Co. during the first general session of the NAPA 2025 Annual Meeting in Maui.

Nelson introduced himself to NAPA members via a presentation that built toward a challenge for members to raise $250,000 this legislative cycle for the NAPA Political Action Committee (PAC).

Featured speaker Josh Linkner offered attendees a collection of examples from across the business spectrum where companies and entrepreneurs used creative problem solving to become successful as part of his “Find A Way” approach to business.

After a networking break, the Annual Meeting continued with Meldrem once again taking the stage to introduce the 2024 Annual Report along with NAPA President & CEO Audrey Copeland. Copeland shared industry analysis with the audience, looking at trends in infrastructure spending and asphalt tonnage data over recent years.

Three concurrent workshops explored topics like community involvement and how the results of the 2024 election will impact NAPA priorities during the 119th Congress ahead of a meeting of the Sustainability Committee.
