Submit Diamond applications by June 30 to save
NAPA’s Diamond Commendation application window is open through Nov. 15, but those who submit their applications before June 30 can save $50 on the self-assessment.
The Diamond Commendation Program recognizes and celebrates excellence in asphalt plant operations, terminal operations, asphalt production, and paving. The cost to submit is $375 per application through June 30. After that, the rate increases to $425 per application.

The self-assessment process helps companies benchmark their operations against a national standard, identify areas for improvement, and earn national recognition for their commitment to quality.
Diamond Commendation Categories
Diamond Achievement covers operations in and around the manufacturing plant, addressing appearance, operations, environmental practices, safety, permits and regulations, and community relations.
Diamond Achievement Sustainable is an optional level for the Diamond Achievement Commendation that evaluates an asphalt production facility’s sustainability and community engagement efforts. Members can pursue this commendation within the Diamond Achievement Commendation category.
Diamond Terminal covers operations in and around the terminal facility site. Aspects addressed include appearance, operations, environmental practices, safety, permitting and regulatory compliance, and community relations.
Diamond Quality involves the quality of the material produced. Areas evaluated include quality management, RAP and aggregate handling, asphalt storage, drying and mixing, air quality, truck scales, silos, and control rooms.
Diamond Paving is designed for paving crews. Areas evaluated include training of supervisors and crew members, use of best practices in paving, and compliance.
NAPA’s Diamond Program is under new management now that Raven Seth has joined the trade association as Awards & Diamond Coordinator.
In her new, full-time role, Seth manages and administers the operational aspects of NAPA’s Diamond and Awards programs, including overseeing application processes, maintaining vendor relationships, reconciling financial reports, and handling online sales.
She joined NAPA full-time in May after managing the Diamond Program in a part-time role since 2023. Her career before NAPA included stints in event planning, human resources, and marketing. Seth is currently studying business administration at Strayer University.
