2027 State Advisor nominations open

Help shape the future of the asphalt pavement industry

NAPA is now accepting nominations for State Advisor positions on the NAPA Advisory Council, with terms beginning Jan.1, 2027.

The Advisory Council plays an important role in ensuring that NAPA remains connected to the needs and priorities of asphalt producers across the country. Serving as a bridge between NAPA’s Board of Directors, staff, and industry stakeholders, State Advisors bring forward state and regional perspectives that help inform association programs, advocacy efforts, and strategic priorities.

NAPA is currently seeking nominees to represent the following states and territories:

  • Alabama
  • Alaska
  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Guam
  • Hawaii
  • Indiana
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky

Qualified producer members are encouraged to nominate themselves or a colleague who is passionate about advancing the asphalt pavement industry.

Who Can Serve?

To be eligible, nominees must:

  • Be affiliated with a NAPA Producer member company in good standing.
  • Have asphalt mix production operations in the state they seek to represent.
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of the asphalt pavement industry.
  • Be committed to advancing NAPA’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Be willing to actively participate in Advisory Council meetings and activities.

Why Serve?

State Advisors provide valuable insights on emerging challenges, regional trends, workforce concerns, infrastructure priorities, and opportunities facing the asphalt pavement industry. Their input helps ensure NAPA’s initiatives reflect the perspectives of members across the country.

Serving on the Advisory Council is also an opportunity to strengthen connections with industry peers, contribute to national conversations, and help guide the future direction of the association.

Term of Service

State Advisors serve three-year terms beginning January 1 and may seek reelection for one additional term. Elections are conducted annually, with approximately one-third of State Advisor positions standing for election each year.

How to Submit a Nomination

Nominations should include:

  • A brief statement (up to 100 words) explaining why the nominee wishes to serve and identifying the three most significant issues affecting the asphalt pavement industry in the state.

The nomination deadline is Friday, Sept. 4.
