Registration open for NAPA winter webinars
NAPA has three virtual learning opportunities coming up in December, and those interested in attending can register now.
On Dec. 10, researchers with the University of California-Davis and Virginia Tech will join NAPA’s Amlan Mukherjee for a webinar titled Implementation of Network-Level Life Cycle Assessment in Pavement Management Systems.

UC-Davis’s Jeremy Lea and Ali A. Butt, along with VT’s Eugene Amarh will introduce a practical framework for integrating network-level life cycle assessment (LCA) into pavement management systems (PMS).
This free webinar builds on the original 2013 implementation in the California PMS, outlines recent improvements, and presents a new proof-of-concept application in Virginia.
Marshall Hammer versus Gyratory Compaction: Validating Equivalence for P401 Mixtures will start at 2 p.m. ET on Dec. 16.

Randy West and Carolina Rodezno with the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) at Auburn University will present research alongside the University of Nevada, Reno’s Adam Hand that determines the equivalent number of gyrations in a Superpave Gyratory Compactor to achieve the same density obtained by 50-blow and 75-blow compaction with a Marshall hammer.

On. Dec. 17, Elie Y. Hajj with the University of Nevada Reno and Nicole Elias with California State Polytechnic University will present findings from the Airfield Asphalt Pavement Technology Program (AAPTP) project Balanced Mix Design: Rutting Performance Tests (AIR-007).
Advancing Balanced Mix Design: Rutting Performance Tests for Airfield Asphalt Pavements, will explore ways to improve airfield pavement reliability and safety through enhanced material testing protocols.
