QIC Awards recognize excellence in asphalt paving in three tiers:

Top scoring QIC Award-winning projects that use more than 50,000 tons of asphalt are considered the following year as part of the semi-finalist stage of the Sheldon G. Hayes Award. The top ten projects using less than 50,000 tons of asphalt earn the acclaimed Larry H. Lemon Award. The highest scoring airfield project is named the winner of the Ray Brown Airport Award.
